Cossatot River School District is proud to showcase our staff members in The Staff Spotlight! This spotlight edition features Candace Sherrouse:
I teach kindergarten at Van-Cove Elementary. This is my fourth year to teach kindergarten with CRSD. I graduated from Southern Arkansas University in 2018. Shortly after graduating, I was offered a wonderful opportunity teaching kindergarten at Umpire Elementary. This last year, I transferred to Van-Cove Elementary. I live in Wickes with my husband, Jesse Sherrouse, and my three kids, Alexander, Chloe, and Josiah. When I'm not working on classroom projects for my kinders, I'm working on projects for my family! Between the two, there is never a dull moment!
Stay tuned for more great Staff Spotlight posts!

Thank you to Stilwell's Restaurant, Baja Rios, El Guerrerense Merch, and Sweet Cravings for supporting our ESL classes on their upcoming state test!

We want to give a big shoutout to some of our local businesses for helping motivate our students to study for their upcoming state test. Stilwell's Restaurant, located in Dequeen, donated two free lunches for our students to practice their English skills in their Restaurant! Baja Rios from Cove contributed a free lunch to our Junior ESL class! El Guerrerense Merch, locally owned and operated in Facebook, donated a Frida Hispanic-themed bag! Sweet Cravings as well from Dequeen Arkansas, presented five gift certificates. With all this love and support from our local business and vendors, we made massive success with our study session! Thank you once again for all the love and support!

Cossatot River School District is proud to showcase our staff members in The Staff Spotlight! This edition features Phoebe Pinson:
I teach 7-12 Social Studies on the Umpire Campus. I have been teaching for 18 years. I began my teaching career on the Wickes campus in 2004 and came to Umpire in 2010. I am a graduate of Umpire High School, so I am excited to be here. In addition to teaching, my husband Bobby and I have a farm in Langley, where we raise cattle and poultry. When we get away from the farm, we love to fish and ride in the mountains. I also love ALL things history! I spend my free time exploring and researching local history. I have two sons and a daughter-in-law (Zack, Desmond and Yaremi) and one precious grandbaby, Luna- age 3. I love my students!
