A well-deserved congratulations goes out to CRHS senior, Noelia Gomez! Noelia Gomez is the proud recipient of the National Dreamers Scholarship! This scholarship will pay for all of Noelia's tuition and fees up to $37,000, and give a $500 stipend for any other expenses that she may need. The Umpire JR High Track Team, coached by Mrs. Shawna Powell, ran in the 7-1A District Track Meet on Tuesday. Brayam Salacias, Tristan House, D'Art Duboise, and Emmanuel Albiter placed third in the 4 by 200 meter relay, and Savanna White placed third in the 1600 meter run.

Extravaganza, at SNU, is a weekend retreat for Nazarene youth across Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Maddy Hoyle and Mauricio Morales both entered. Both competed with students from OK,TX, AR, LA. Maddy Hoyle won 1st Place in the Art category with her coy fish painting - Acrylic on canvas. Mauricio Morales won Best Choice in the Art category with a self portrait of him and his dog - Acrylic on canvas. Cossatot River High School Choirs to Present Spring Concert The Cossatot River High School Choral Department will present their spring concert, Feelin’ Groovy: Hits of the 70’s, on Thursday, April 28, in the Holbert Auditorium in Wickes. The concert will be divided into two separate performances. Beginning the night will be the 7th/8th grade Junior High Eagle Choirs at 6:00 pm. The second concert of the evening will be at 7:00 pm and will feature the senior high all girls choir, Cantabile, the senior high advanced group, Encore, and the senior high mixed choir, Noteworthy. Jeremiah Brewer and Marissa Hammer will be guest accompanists for Encore. End of the year choir awards will be given and senior choir members will be recognized. The Rachel Norman Memorial Choir Scholarship recipient will also be announced and awarded. 2022 Choir Seniors are Cole Brantley, Baylee Davis, Marissa Hammer, Maggie Haynes, Clayton Thompson, Kayleigh Williams, Alyssa Wilson, Elorie Hopper, Cora Morgan, Gracie Smith, Kalli Smith, Lyla Baker, Kali Blake, JT Miller, LaBrayla Robb, Brynleigh Smith, Shayna Bowen, and Brendan Tadlock. Cossatot River High School Choirs are under the direction of Susan Brewer. Come out April 28 to hear outstanding performances of music from the 70’s!

Cossatot River School High School's chess team was recognized last night at the April Board Meeting by Superintendent Tyler Broyles as the latest recipients of the Cossatot River Pride Certificate. Chess club started four years ago when Jesse Dosch came to high school in seventh grade. They competed in 4 tournaments which included regional and state tournaments. They also competed at Ashdown and DMESC. At Ashdown, we had students compete in 7-9th grade and 10-12th grade categories. Two of our team members won first and second at Ashdown. Taydon Broach, 7th grade, won 2nd place and Dillon Lawrence, 9th grade, won first. We had several unable to attend the meeting, but all of their efforts deserve recognition!
