WES kindergarten completed a unit over Community Helpers and Fire Safety. We ended with a visit from our local fire department with the help of SRO Russell Gibbons. A big thank you to our Kindergarten para Mrs. Rhonda Holman for helping to set up and organize this event for us!

Vandervoort Elementary is proud to announce its "Character Kids of the Month" for September. The word of the month is "Responsibility." Students were selected for exhibiting that character trait and exceptional academic effort, as well as showing overall good behavior in the classroom. Daniel Perez, a graduate of Cossatot River High School, was a four year All-State soccer player and the first Eagle to be selected to play at the collegiate level. He scored the first goal in Rich Mountain Bucks Soccer history and played two years there before moving to the next level at Blue Mountain College in Mississippi. He has been chosen as the Offensive Player of the Week for the Southern States Athletic Conference!
