Special Olympics Track and Field Event will be April 20th at the Mena football field. They are selling t-shirts as a fundraiser to help pay for expenses. Please let Nicole Evans; CRSD Special Olympic Coach, know if you want to order one. Orders are due by April 11, 2018. Make checks payable to CR Special Olympics. CRHS Band will be having a PIZZA HUT fundraiser. On April 11, Mena Pizza Hut will donate 25% of sales and DeQueen Pizza Hit will donate 15% of sales between 6-8 to the band. The money raised will go toward the Band Assessment trip in Midlothian, TX in May.

First Annual Band Carnival will be April 14th, 2 p.m.-5 p.m. at the Cossatot River High School. There will be games, bouncy house, rides and tacos. All proceeds go to CRHS band for their band festival in Midlothian, TX.

Ag Booster Club will be hosting a donkey basketball game and Indian Taco Dinner on April 6th at Cossatot River High School. Dinner starts at 5:00 with game following at 7:00. Tacos will be $5, tickets for game are $6 in advance and $8 at the gate.

A Special Board Meeting will be held in Little Rock at 2:00 P.M. today, February 28th. The location of the meeting will be at 1101 West 2nd Street, Little Rock, AR.

All schools of the Cossatot River School District will dismiss Monday and Tuesday, February 5th & 6th, due to the very high numbers of students absent with the flu. These two days will be AMI (Alternative Methods of Instruction) designated days. Your children will be required to complete take-home materials or online assignments as made available by their teachers. All schools will reopen on Wednesday, February 7th at their regular time.

The Cossatot River FFA Chapter will be taking money donations from 2/1/18-2/11/18 for the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. This money will be evenly distributed to families in need in the Cardiac Unit. Drop offs may be made at: Wickes Elementary School Office Union Bank- Wickes Cossatot River High School Office or Ag Department Vandervoort Elementary School Office. The scheduled basketball games for Tuesday night will still be played, but athletes will not be called upon to practice during the days off. All schools will reopen on Wednesday, January 31st at their regular time.

Homecoming Dance is just around the corner!! The dance will be semi-formal and there will be a professional DJ.

Homecoming will be February 2, 2018. The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, February 3 from 6-9 p.m. at CRHS. Get your tickets early and save money!! Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from Mrs. Richardson in room 207. Tickets purchased the day of the dance will be $7 each.
