Congratulations to sophomore Ulysses Lopez for being the FIRST EVER Cossatot River High School student to make the Arkansas All State Choir this past Friday in Russellville. He placed in the top 20 chairs for the Region 3 Choir in October which earned him an opportunity to audition against the best singers in Arkansas for a spot in the prestigious All State Choir. One hundred and ten Bass 2's auditioned Friday and the top 50 earned chairs. Ulysses placed 46th. He will now attend the All State Choir and Band Convention February 15-17 at the Hot Springs Convention Center and rehearse with the TTBB Choir preparing for a performance at noon on Saturday, February 17. And as a friendly reminder, Ulysses recently became the first student in CRSD history to make all-region band! A huge congratulations to Ulysses!
Attached is a pic of Ulysses and then one with his choir director, Susan Brewer.

Congratulations to Dani Atchley for receiving the Rotary Youth Leadership Award! The District 6170 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership and teamwork training program for youth (rising sophomores or juniors in high school ages of 16 and 17), from the geographic region of Rotary District 6170 (South and East Arkansas). RYLA introduces Rotary’s “Service Above Self” philosophy, and the curriculum includes a personality self-assessment, team building activities, and a service project simulation.
