Cossatot River Kindergarten had a blast today at Mena Silver Screen theater. We watched King of Kings and ate lots of popcorn! We then spent the afternoon at the park with a picnic lunch and lots of playing. The kids said today was the best day ever! Thanks to Mrs. Renee Hendrix and her employees for making this a great field trip. Big thanks to all of our parents who helped us keep eyes on our bunch!

Yesterday was National Principals Day, and even though we didn’t get a picture, we couldn’t let the moment pass without honoring the heart of Umpire Schools — Mrs. Stephens. This year has brought unimaginable challenges, yet she continues to lead with strength, grace, and unwavering dedication to our students, staff, and school community. Her resilience inspires us, and her love for Umpire shines through in everything she does. Mrs. Stephens, thank you for the countless hours, the quiet sacrifices, and the strong leadership you show every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say.

Umpire High School students in grades 9–12 recently completed their CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training and earned 15 hours of community service! Through this incredible program, students learned about disaster preparedness for hazards that could impact our area and were trained in vital response skills including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. We’re so proud of these students for stepping up to be leaders in safety and service in our community!

Last week, Umpire students in grades 7–12 took a fun and educational field trip to Grandview Prairie! Students fished the ponds, explored the beautiful landscape, and even had the exciting opportunity to meet an alligator up close! They learned all about the unique prairie ecosystem and its native plants. It was a day full of hands-on learning and outdoor adventure!

The class of 2025 and the class of 2037 took a walk together through our primary, elementary, and high school campuses in their caps and gowns this afternoon! The CRHS seniors will be completing their high school journey soon with tomorrow (5/2) being their last official day of school, while the class of 2037, this year's kindergarten graduates, have a little ways to go yet. Both classes are celebrating big milestones this year! Thank you to all teachers, staff, and principals who made this a memorable event!

Happy School Principals’ Day! Today we celebrate our incredible leader at CRES! Our principal is truly one of a kind! She sets high expectations for both staff and students, pushing us all to be our very best. Her dedication goes far beyond the call of duty, making sure every person in our school community has the tools, support, and encouragement they need to succeed. She leads with strength, heart, and a whole lot of love. We are so thankful for the way she believes in each and every one of us. Thank you, Mrs. Richardson, for being the heart of our school! #PrincipalsDay #ThankYouPrincipal #CRESStrong
